This quilt/project finishes at 15.5" x 56".

• 1 yard brown for stems, binding, sashing, and borders
• (5) 10" Layer Cake® squares OR 5/8 yard background
• (5) 10" Layer Cake® squares for pears
• (8) 5" Charm Squares for leaves OR scraps
• (1) yard backing
• Batting
• Applique supplies

From brown fabric, cut:
(5) 3½” x WOF strips. Sew together end-to end. Subcut into (4) 1½” x 10” strips. and (2) 1½“ x 56” strips
(5) 2½” x WOF binding strips
From background fabric, cut:
(5) 10” squares for pear backgrounds

Print applique template from this pattern. Using your favorite method of aplpique, prepare pattern pieces.

Use the placement guide on the patterns or assemble as desired. Place all pattern pieces on the background fabric and then center on the 10” square.

There are four leaf choices. All may be reversed as desired. 

When all five pear blocks are complete, add 1 ½” sashing between blocks.

Add 3 ½” x 10” borders to each side. Measure your exact top and botom and then cut borders peicesf to fit.

Layer, baste, and quilt as desired.

Bind using brown 2 ½” wide strips.
