Tic Tac Toe

Who doesn't love a side of competition with their sewing? If you stopped by the Moda booth at Quiltcon 2020, you got just that in the form of a game of Tic Tac Toe! Part of the fun was receiving a little goodie bag from Moda, including a pattern for Tic Tac Toe created using mini charms (2.5" squares) and a bit of extra yardage. Robin Pickens is the brain behind the fun idea, as a way to feature her Thatched line of basics.

It's up to you how you want to separate your X and O 'teams.' Maybe just mix up the colors and rely on the X's and O's in the pattern to separate the pieces into groups. Or maybe you want to do all warm colors for one side and all cool colors for the other.

For the booth version of Tic Tac Toe, we simply scaled up the pattern to use a charm pack rather than a mini charm pack. We just love the smaller mini charm size that the pattern makes--it's the perfect size for little bean bags or an activity for kids!
