Chatsworth Quilt-Along Coming Soon!

Join us here on the Moda blog starting January 25 for an exciting quilt-along with Doug Leko of Antler Quilt Design! Doug will be guiding us through his latest pattern book, Chatsworth, which just released in November.

Chatsworth isn’t your typical block-of-the-month design. Doug has combined traditional piecing and foundation paper piecing to create a unique and versatile pattern that looks good in virtually any kind of fabric – traditional or modern, prints or solids.

Not only that, but the Chatsworth book includes options for making a bonus table runner and a bonus table topper in addition to the quilt.

For the quilt-along here on the Moda blog, we’ll be making the full quilt. We’ll post two blocks each month on the 4th Thursday of the month. The fabric requirements and complete schedule are provided below – click to download and print the PDF for quick reference!

You’ll need to purchase the Chatsworth book, available now at your favorite quilt retailer or directly from Doug. For perfectly precise Braided Flying Geese, which are used in the final quilt setting, Doug has created special Chatsworth Braided Flying Geese Foundation Papers. You can purchase these from your LQS or Doug’s website as well.

Will you be joining the Chatsworth quilt-along? Post your fabric choices and progress on social media using the hashtag #chatsworthQAL, and don’t forget to tag @modafabrics and @dougleko! We’ll be sharing our blocks on social media as well.

We’ll be back with Blocks 1 and 2, as well as Doug’s best tips and tricks, on January 25!
